All foreign visitors must include coronavirus coverage in their insurance

All foreign visitors to Saudi Arabia on tourism, visits and Umrah visas must be insured against the risk of coronavirus infection.

The Saudi Central Bank and the Council of Cooperative Health Insurance (CCHI) announced Sunday updating the insurance policy format for Non-Saudis arriving in the Kingdom from abroad, for the purposes of tourism, visit and Umrah, through adding the covering against Coronavirus (COVID-19) infection’s risks.

The move aims to provide health care to individuals exposed to Covid-19 infection upon their arrival in the Kingdom from abroad.

The insurance covers the costs of treatment, costs of quarantine for infected individuals and emergency medical evacuation.
