Saudi Arabia has extended the COVID-19 restrictions on gatherings, events, and dine-in services for 20 more days, the Saudi Press Agency reports, citing a Ministry of Interior source.
The restrictions will be effective for a total of 30 days from the date on which the authorities first imposed restrictions on 3 February.
The restrictions include:
1- The maximum number of people attending social events and meetings should not exceed 20 people.
2- Suspension of all public entertainment activities and events.
3- Closing down Cinemas, indoor entertainment centers, and independent game centers, including those located in restaurants, malls, or other public places, gyms, and sports centers.
4- Suspension of dine-in services in restaurants and cafes, and food services are limited to delivery or take out only.
The source noted the importance of everyone’s commitment, in addition to adhering to the other precautionary measures mentioned in the previous statement, related to events, meetings, gatherings, parties, and funerals.
The source added that all precautionary measures are subject to continuous evaluation by the competent authorities.
