Saudi Arabia has extended the validity of tourist visas that were not used due to the coronavirus pandemic-related travel ban, the Foreign Ministry announced on Wednesday.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has extended the validity of tourist visas in cooperation with the National Information Center and the Ministry of Tourism, the ministry said in a statement.
The move is part of the Saudi government’s efforts to mitigate the effects of precautionary measures taken to halt the spread of the pandemic.
The ministry has automatically extended tourist visas issued for all countries before March 24, 2021, and the beneficiaries have been notified about the extension via e-mail, according to the statement.
