Coronavirus: Saudi Arabia allows all nationalities to register to travel back home

Saudi Arabia exceptionally allows residents of all nationalities to register for the “Awdah” repatriation service, which allows people with valid visas to travel back to their home country if they wish, the Interior Ministry said on Wednesday.

“The Ministry of Interior allows, exceptionally, all nationalities to register in the ‘Awdah’ initiative launched recently for residents holding visas (exit and re-entry, final exit, visit of all kinds, tourism) to travel by air to their countries by submitting return requests electronically via the ‘Absher’ platform,” SPA quoted  the Ministry of Interior as saying.

Expatriates holding exit and re-entry visas, final exits, visiting visas of various types, and tourist visas, and wishing to return by air travel to their countries, may submit an application for return electronically via the Absher platform.

The Ministry of Interior confirmed that the departure of the expatriates will be through the following airports: (King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, and Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah) after the approval of the countries to allow the reception of their citizens.
