The registration process for domestic pilgrims to perform Hajj begins today.
Citizens and residents intending to perform Hajj this year can register through http://localhaj.haj.gov.sa the e-portal of the Haj and Umrah Ministry.
The ministry also advised intending for domestic pilgrims to complete their registration as early as possible.
It also emphasized that domestic pilgrims should take use of e-portal service and should avoid dealing with operators directly.
The ministry has restricted marketing campaigns by private Haj operators inside the Kingdom.
All Hajj operators are required to accept domestic pilgrims only through the ministry’s web portal.
For the first time, the ministry has also provided the option to save selected packages and operators’ list in the menu for confirmation at a later stage.
The two-phase registration and confirmation process has been made easier for domestic pilgrims.
In the first phase, registration can be completed from May 30 to July 13. In the second phase (July 14 to August 18), applicants confirm their bookings.
