Eid Al Adha is likely to fall on Sunday, 11 August 2019 in Saudi Arabia, according to the International Astronomical Centre (IAC) in Abu Dhabi.
The director of the Centre, Eng Mohammed Shawkat, said there will be no dispute over the sighting of Helal or the new moon of the lunar month of Dul Hijjah.
“Most Arab and Islamic centers will be able to easily and clearly see the new moon of Dul Hijjah with naked eyes and telescopes,” he said.
He also added that most Arab and Muslim countries will view the Helal of Dul Hijjah on Thursday, August 1, 2019.
“All these countries will be able to sight the new moon after the sunset by telescopes and even naked eyes in some regions,” he added.
