Consolidated Levy Will Result Shutdown of 15.6 Percent of Establishments -Jcci

Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) has told the Ministry of Labor and Social Development that the consolidated levy bill will result in the shutdown of 15.6 percent of establishments.

JCCI’s estimate is on the basis of its studies on the likely negative effects of the implementation of the ministry’s demand for the consolidated payment of the levee bill.

The study also found that the additional payment will increase the financial burden of 11 percent of commercial establishments depriving 5.6 percent of the establishments their ability to expand, while 2.6 percent will face confusion in their operating plans.

The chamber study also projected that the impact of the consolidated bill as a whole would be negative by 95.2 percent.
