First movie theater set to open in Jubail
Saudi Arabia is set to open its first movie theater in the eastern region of Jubail, according to the General Commission for Audiovisual Media (GCAM).
The new Cinema Hall is at Jubail Mall with 5 screens and 416 seats.
The kingdom opened its first movie theater to the public in Riyadh in April 2018.
In 2018, Saudi Arabia announced its plans to open 40 cinemas in 15 cities over five years as part of plans to develop the entertainment sector in the Kingdom.
Following the closure of cinemas in early March over the coronavirus outbreak, Saudi Arabia reopened in June with strict coronavirus protocols.
