First Saudi Covid-19 vaccine candidate seeks nod for clinical trials

A team from the Institute for Research & Medical Consultations (IRMC) at Imam Abdurahman bin Faisal University (IAU) in Dammam, succeeded in developing a vaccine against coronavirus.

The university said a research team led by Dr. Iman al-Mansour had completed pre-clinical trials.

The research results have been published in the scientific journal “Pharmaceuticals,” and the clinical trials will begin after taking the necessary approvals, the university added.
