Heavy Fine Is Coming for Traffic Violations

Traffic authorities have prepared a list of penal measures for new traffic violations that will be announced shortly, according to informed sources. The new regulations will clamp heavy penalties for speeding, not fastening seat belts and driving in the wrong direction, Sabq Online reported.

The source added that the new fine for driving in the wrong direction would be SR6,000. The same amount will be imposed on violations of not displaying front or rear number plates.

Workshops will get 10,000SR penalty for repairing vehicles without repairing permit from traffic department.
