Insurance companies have no right to refuse health policies to those over 60 years old – CCHI

The Council of Cooperative Health Insurance (CCHI) has confirmed that insurance companies do not have the right to refuse insurance for people over the age of 60.

The council was informed through its Twitter account: “My insured brother … the insurance company has no right to refuse insurance applications for those over 60 years old.”

The Health Insurance Council stated that there is no maximum age at which the employer is bound when insuring his company’s employees and that the minimum age for the employee’s insurance is 15 years.
