The Saudi authorities have deported some 1,700 foreign expatriates in the Saudi capital of Riyadh, who have violated the Kingdom’s residency regulations.

Al-Riyadh local newspaper reported that the General Administration of Expatriates’ Affairs at the city’s prisons directorate has informed all the relevant government departments with the arrest.

According to the Director of Prisons in Riyadh, Brigade General Ali AlQout, the expatriate’s department has helped in receiving the violators, finalising their deportation paperwork and transferring them to the airports.
