Kuwait to resume direct flights with India from Tuesday

Kuwait’s civil aviation authority said on Monday that direct commercial flights to India will resume on Tuesday.

The decision to resume flights was initially announced last month without providing an implementation timeline. Flights to India and a number of other countries were halted after the second wave of Covid-19 spread. On Sunday, Kuwait resumed direct flights to Egypt.

Kuwait Airways, the country’s national carrier, has begun accepting reservations for direct flights from a number of Indian cities. Also Read: New UAE “Green Visa” Holders Can Work Without Company Sponsorship

The first flights will depart from Chennai and Mumbai on Tuesday. Flights from Cochin and Delhi are also scheduled for Wednesday, September 8 and 9.
