MOFA launches e-service to extend validity of visitor visas from countries facing travel ban

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), in coordination with the Ministries of Interior and Finance, launched an electronic service that allows visitors from outside the Kingdom to extend the validity of their unused visas that expired during the period of travel suspension.

This service is limited to visitors from 20 countries whose entry was suspended earlier this year due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The ministry clarified that visitors from these countries can benefit from the service and get the necessary extension to their visas without paying any fees or fines, by entering the ministry’s electronic visa services platform, and the extension will be until July 31, 2021.
