Saudi Arabia’s health ministry clarifies whether the COVID-19 vaccine can be obtained for those on a family visit visa.
The health ministry, through its official Twitter account, said that the coronavirus vaccine is currently at this stage only available to citizens and resident expatriates holding a resident permit (Iqama or Muqeem).
The ministry urged all nationals and resident expatriates to register for the vaccine to protect their health and safety against infection with COVID-19.
The health ministry also said the coronavirus vaccine can be obtained by registering with the ‘Sehhaty’ app, which can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
According to the Health Ministry, So far, more than 12 million doses of coronavirus vaccine have been administered in Saudi Arabia through over 587 vaccine sites.
