Muroor starts issuing traffic violations of compulsory vehicle insurance

Muroor starts issuing automatic violations of compulsory vehicle insurance starting today

The General Department of Traffic (Muroor) is starting today to issue traffic violations to vehicle owners who do not have valid vehicle insurance.

Earlier this month, the General Department of Traffic called on vehicle owners to ensure that they had valid vehicle insurance before the Department completed the automatic issuance of traffic violations on 22 July 2020.

The new decision helps to guarantee the rights of those affected by car accidents.

A number of Saudi insurance companies have revealed the impact of the General Traffic Department decision on compulsory motor insurance on their motor policy sales and gross written premiums (GWPs).
