
No quarantine for fully vaccinated passengers travelling from India to Bahrain
The Indian embassy in Bahrain announced on Saturday that passengers travelling from India to Bahrain with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate issued in India will be exempt from the mandatory 10-day quarantine period.
According to the Embassy, the vaccines taken in India by passengers travelling from India to Bahrain should be approved by the WHO or the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Passengers will also be exempted from submitting a pre-arrival negative RT-PCR certificate.
“Embassy of India is happy to inform that as per revised travel entry procedures of Kingdom of Bahrain, all COVID vaccination certificates containing a QR code for vaccines approved by the World Health Organization, or the Kingdom of Bahrain will be accepted. Accordingly, passengers travelling from India to Bahrain having valid COVID Vaccination Certificates issued in India with a scannable QR Code, for vaccines approved by WHO, or by the Kingdom of Bahrain will be exempted from mandatory 10 days quarantine as well as Pre-Arrival negative RTPCR Certificate” the Indian embassy in Bahrain said in a statement posted on Twitter.
The government of Bahrain removed India from the red list on September 3, 2021.
Earlier on May 24, Bahrain had suspended travel from countries on its red list, which included India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal.
