Operational Plan for Ramadan Season Inaugurated at Grand Mosque

The President General of Haramain, Sheikh Sudais inaugurated the operational plan for this year’s Ramadan season today through a video call in light of precautionary measures being taken to combat Coronavirus.

The President pointed out that employees of the presidency are working around the clock in various circumstances to serve the Two Holy Mosques, adding that the operational plan for the presidency was prepared according to studies in light of the conditions being experienced by the world due to the Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19).

Sheikh Dr. Al-Sudais stressed that the presidency relied on its plan for ten axes, including directives on scientific and operational excellence, digital transformation, institutional communication, development excellence, social activity, control, workforce, supervisory, and complementary domains.

The five daily prayers and Taraweeh prayers in the Two Holy Mosques will continue to be suspended to the public during Ramadan.

However, Taraweeh will be held behind closed doors and the number of Rakats will be reduced to 10 Rakahs.
