Over half of Saudi Arabia’s population is now fully vaccinated against COVID-19

According to the most recent Ministry of Health figures, approximately 17.5 million people received two doses of the coronavirus vaccine in the Kingdom.

The second dose recipients account for more than half of the Kingdom’s population of 35.01 million.

So far, the total number of doses administered in the Kingdom has reached 40.62 million, with 23.02 million people receiving at least one dose.

Oxford-AstraZeneca, Pfizer-BionTech, Johnson & Johnson, Moderna, Sinopharm, and Sinovac are the six coronavirus vaccines approved in the Kingdom.

The Kingdom is moving ahead with its plan to vaccinate at least 70% of its population by October of this year, intending to achieve herd immunity. The daily average number of doses given has surpassed 450,000.
