The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD) has announced the working hours for public sector employees during the holy month of Ramadan 2021 (H-1442).
During Ramadan, public sector employees will work for 5 hours a day, starting at 10:00 a.m. and ending at 3:00 p.m., according to the Ministry.
The ministry said the number of employees who work remotely during Ramadan should not exceed 25 percent of the total staff. There should be flexible working hours with employees clubbed into three groups, and there will be a one-hour gap between each of the three groups for attending duty at their workplaces.
While selecting employees to work remotely, priority shall be given to groups of employees who are most vulnerable to coronavirus infection. This shall be in accordance with the Saudi Center for Disease Prevention and Control (Weqaya), the ministry said.
Fingerprinting to register attendance will continue to remain suspended, the ministry added.
