Saudi Arabia allows entry with Sinopharm and Sinovac vaccines after booster shots

Entry with Sinpharm and Sinovac Vaccine

Saudi Arabia will only allow passengers who were vaccinated with Sinopharm or Sinovac vaccines to enter if they received a booster shot from one of the four approved vaccines in the kingdom, according to the Saudi e-visa portal.

Currently, the Kingdom recognizes the following four vaccines: Oxford-AstraZeneca, Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines. Also Read: Virgin Mobile KSA: Customer Care Number, Recharge Code, Balance Check

The Ministry of Tourism stated on the e-visa portal that guests who have received two doses of the Sinopharm or Sinovac vaccines will be accepted if they have received an additional dose of one of the four vaccines approved in the Kingdom.

According to the e-visa portal, all travelers entering on a previously issued tourism visa will be required to pay an additional SAR 40 upon arrival at the airport to cover insurance for any COVID-19-related medical expenses.

Travelers will be required to present a negative PCR test result obtained within 72 hours of departure, as well as an approved vaccination certificate issued by the issuing country’s health officials.

Tourists entering the Kingdom are required to register their vaccination records online at https://muqeem.sa/#/vaccine-registration/home. The ministry also said that vaccinated travelers are not required to enter quarantine.

On August 1, Saudi Arabia reopened its borders and began allowing vaccinated tourists.
