Authorities in Saudi Arabia have said it will allow trucks to enter from all countries as the kingdom gradually eases precautionary measures against coronavirus.
Saudi Customs has announced that trucks coming to the Kingdom and transiting through its lands would be allowed to transit from all countries in order to ease precautionary measures at land ports.
The step comes in compliance with a royal order approving a recommendation from the kingdom’s Political and Security Affairs Council with the aim of relaxing precautionary measures.
The decision includes implementing precautionary health measures that other countries apply to truck drivers from the Kingdom, based on the principle of reciprocity.
In recent weeks, Saudi Arabia has relaxed several COVID-19 restrictions, but a halt to international flights, imposed in March, remains in place.
