Saudi Arabia extends tourist visas for 3 months for free

The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) said in a statement on Tuesday that tourist visas that expired during the period of suspension of international flights due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic will be automatically extended for three months free of charge, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The move, which will be implemented in cooperation with the National Information Center, is part of ongoing efforts by the Saudi Government to mitigate the economic impact of the precautionary measures taken to prevent coronavirus spread and to ensure the health and safety of citizens and residents.

Jawazat explained that the extension is done automatically through the system and does not require travel to its offices.
