Saudi Arabia extends validity of Iqama, Visa until March 31

Saudi Arabia’s Jawazat has started automatically extending the validity of Iqama and exit/re-entry visa for free until March 31, 2022. This was in accordance with King Salman’s directives, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

Foreign nationals who are currently outside the Kingdom and who are from countries where there is a travel ban due to the outbreak of coronavirus will be the beneficiaries of this initiative.

Additionally, the King’s directive includes an extension of the validity of visit visas issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for visitors from countries facing travel bans as a result of the coronavirus outbreak.

The extension will not apply to expatriates who received one dose of coronavirus vaccine within the Kingdom before their departure on an exit and reentry visa.

This extension is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to address the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Jawazat stated that the extension will take place automatically in cooperation with the National Information Center and will not require any personal visits to Jawazat departments.
