Saudi Arabia will extend Iqamas, exit re-entry visas, and visit visas for expats stranded abroad due to the coronavirus outbreak until September 30, 2021, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Tuesday, citing a royal order.
The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) has confirmed that the free extension will be done automatically in cooperation with the National Information Center, reports SPA.
The extension will only be granted to residents who are currently stranded in one of the countries where the Kingdom has imposed an entry ban.
“This extension, issued by the Minister of Finance, is part of the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to deal with the effects and consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic,” according to the SPA statement.
