Saudi Arabia Hikes LPG Cylinder Price by SAR 1

Saudi Arabia’s National Gas and Industrialisation Company (GASCO) has announced a SAR 1 per cylinder increase in the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), effective from Sunday, June 11. The new price for refilling an LPG cylinder, including value-added tax (VAT) but excluding transportation charges, is now SAR 19.85.

This announcement follows a directive from the Ministry of Energy, and the information was disclosed through a statement on the Saudi Stock Exchange (TADAWUL) website. Despite this increase, GASCO assured that this change will not significantly affect its future net income.

The previous cost of refilling a cylinder was SAR 18.85, inclusive of VAT but exclusive of transportation charges. This price adjustment is expected to impact both households and businesses that rely on LPG as a primary source of fuel.

In the coming days, consumers and businesses alike will be adjusting their budgets to accommodate this new reality. Despite the immediate impact, GASCO’s assertion that this move will not affect its net income suggests that this price increase is a necessary step in ensuring a continuous and stable supply of LPG across the Kingdom.
