Saudi Arabia localizes remote customer service jobs

Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Ahmed Al Rajhi, issued a ministerial decision to localize remote customer service jobs, whether through direct or indirect contracts.

The decision includes work contracts and service outsourcing agreements, under which employers provide the services remotely.

The move targets all remote professions and jobs offered in customer service centers through phone, e-mail, chat, social media, direct contact, and others.

The decision aims to create more job opportunities for Saudis and help improve their income levels and support the Saudi economy and gross domestic product (GDP) in line with Vision 2030.
