Following Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz’s directives, the General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) has begun automatically extending the validity of Iqamas, visit visas, and exit re-entry visas for expatriates stranded outside the Kingdom until 31/08/2021.
The Finance Minister, Muhammad Al-Jadaan, issued the decision as part of the government’s ongoing efforts to deal with the effects and consequences of the coronavirus pandemic.
The Jawazat confirmed that the extension will be done automatically and free of charge in cooperation with the National Information Center. And it will include extending the validity of residency permits and exit re-entry visas for residents, as well as visitor visas for visitors outside the Kingdom in countries whose entry is suspended due to the coronavirus outbreak until August 31, 2021.
