Saudi Arabia has lifted precautionary measures imposed in the districts of Al-Shuraibat, Bani Dhafar, Qurban, Al-Jumuah, parts of Al-Iskan and Bani Khadrah in Madinah on Saturday, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The move was made following the recommendations of the health authorities and the residents of these districts will now be allowed to move freely to meet their needs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Health precautionary measures that have been previously announced will remain in place.
An official source at the Ministry of the Interior stated that these measures have been taken as part of the Kingdom’s efforts to protect public health by preventing coronavirus spread and are subject to continuous evaluation with the health authorities.
The ministry called on members of the public to shoulder their responsibilities and to take precautions to keep themselves and others safe.
There were 5,776 reported cases of coronavirus in the Madinah region, with 4,451 active cases as of today.
