Saudi Arabia strongly condemns Israeli attacks on Al-Aqsa

Saudi Arabia has strongly condemned attacks carried out by Israeli forces violating the sanctity of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and threatening the safety and security of worshipers, a foreign ministry statement said early Tuesday.

Saudi Arabia’s foreign ministry called on the international community to hold Israel accountable for the escalation and to urge it to immediately stop its acts that violate all international norms and treaties.

The ministry reiterated that the Kingdom stands with the Palestinians and supports all efforts aimed at ending the occupation and reaching a fair and comprehensive solution to the crisis.

The solution must ensure that enabling the Palestinian people to establish their own independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with UN resolutions and the Arab Peace initiative, the statement added.
