The Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Ahmad Al-Rajhi, has issued a ministerial decision to Saudize 30% of the accounting jobs.
Starting June 12, 2021, the new decision applies to all local private entities with at least five accounting professionals.
The ministry said in a statement that the new move aims to create more than 9,800 job opportunities. The targeted jobs include account director, director of Zakat and tax department, director of financial reports department, director of auditing department, internal auditor, and cost accountant.
To qualify for the Saudization rate, Saudi accountants must receive a minimum salary of SR 6,000 and SR 4,500 for bachelor and diploma holders, respectively. Saudi accountants should be authorized by the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants (SOCPA), the ministry added.
