The Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Eng. Ahmed Al-Rajhi issued a decision to localize the professions of communications and information technology in private sector establishments.
The decision applies to all establishments with five or more workers, with jobs in communications, information technology engineering, application development, programming and analysis, technical support and telecommunications technical, according to the Ministry.
The ministry also said that it aims to provide 9,000 job opportunities in the field of communications and IT to stimulate the sector’s growth. It has also set the wage for targeted localized jobs to start at SR 7,000 for specialized professions and from SR 5,000 for technical professions.
The decision aims to ensure job opportunities for Saudi graduates in the field of communications and IT, along with providing a suitable work environment in the private sector.
