According to a statement from the ministry, the decision to localize 30% of marketing professions applies to businesses with at least five employees working in this field.

The ministry sets the minimum salary for localized marketing jobs at SAR 5,500, according to the statement, and the decision will take effect on May 8, 2022.

The marketing professions covered by the new Saudization decision are; manager, marketing specialist, advertising and public relations manager, marketing sales expert, advertising designer, and commercial advertising photographer.

The initiative is expected to provide more than 12,000 jobs for Saudi citizens.

In addition, the ministry issued a procedural guide outlining the decision and the mechanisms required to implement it in order to ensure establishment compliance.

The ministry emphasized the imposition of penalties against violating businesses, as well as the provision of incentive and support packages to encourage private businesses to hire Saudis.
