The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) has issued orders allowing the entry of citizens and their family members and accompanying domestic workers through land ports directly from neighboring countries, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Permission for entry applies to male and female citizens, their non-Saudi family members such as husbands , wives, sons and daughters, as well as their domestic workers accompanying them on their travel.
Jawazat has clarified that citizens with non-Saudi members wishing to return to the Kingdom through land ports must obtain prior approval through furnishing the necessary information via the Absher Portal. In order to avail the service, they should attach documents that prove the kinship and relationship for the accompanying non-Saudis.
Jawazat said the ports of arrival in the first phase are Al-Khafji, Al-Raqae, Al-Batha and King Fahd Bridge, and the rest of the land ports will be added in the second phase in coordination with the National Information Centre.
It also said that the non-Saudis accompanying the Saudis must have a PCR examination certificate proving coronavirus negative results, which will be carried out within 48 hours.
