Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Eng. Ahmed Bin Suleiman Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Rajhi, said that the Kingdom is proceeding with the efforts of reducing the unemployment rate to below 7% by 2030.
The minister stated that at an interview with Al Ekhbariya TV channel, Human Resources and Social Development Ministry’s agreements with partner entities and supervisory ministries have created 420,000 job opportunities for Saudi men and women.
Mr. Al Rajhi observed that the newly established regulations by the ministry to improve the contractual relationship will improve the competitiveness of the Saudi workers to be equal to that of expatriates.
The Minister also stated that the government has launched 15 initiatives to sustain employment during the pandemic period and that the Kingdom is one of the least impacted G20 countries by Covid-19.
