COVID-19Saudi ArabiaVaccination

Starting Aug.1, only vaccinated individuals can enter public and private establishments

Saudi Arabia will ban unvaccinated individuals (both citizens and residents) from entering public and private establishments, including malls and restaurants, the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs announced Tuesday.

According to the ministry, anyone who has not been immunized against the coronavirus will be denied access to malls, shopping centers, retail stores, and markets.

Additionally, it will also be mandatory to show proof of the vaccination to enter restaurants, cafés, barbershops, beauty salons, marriages, and party halls.

Either taking two doses of the vaccine approved in Saudi Arabia or recovering from COVID-19 infection will be a pre-requisite to entering public and private firms starting August 1, the ministry clarified.
