What is eSIM?.

An eSIM is a SIM-card that is embedded in the mobile device. The SIM stores all information that is necessary to identify and authenticate the mobile subscriber. An eSIM will come in the form of an integrated SIM chip that cannot and need not be removed from a device. eSIM enables you to activate prepaid or postpaid plans without using a physical SIM card.

One of the main advantages of eSIM is that it enables users to change the operator remotely, straight from their phone, without having to acquire a new SIM card. It also allows people to store multiple profiles on a single device, effectively having two or more numbers, and switch between them at ease.

This new feature is available on several devices, including the latest iPhone Xs, in addition to the latest devices by Samsung and Huawei, such as Samsung S20 and Huawei P40.
