Supreme Court calls for sighting Dhu al-Hijjah Moon on Monday

The Saudi Supreme Court has called on all Muslims in the Kingdom to sight the crescent moon of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah, on the evening of Monday, 20 July 2020 (29 Dhu al-Qidah, 1441 AH), according to a report published by Okaz.

Dhu al-Hijjah is the twelfth and final month in the Islamic calendar. It is the month in which the Hajj pilgrimage takes place.

Eid ul adha begins on the 10th of Dhu al-Hijjah and ends on the 13th of the same month.

The Supreme Court asked that the person who sees it with their naked eye or through the binoculars to inform the nearest court, record his or her testimony or contact the nearest center to help him reach the nearest court.
