The Supreme Court has called on all Muslims throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to sight the crescent of the month of Ramadan on Saturday evening, Sha’ban 29, 1440H (March 04, 2019).

In its statement, the Supreme Court called on anyone who views the crescent with naked eyes or through binoculars to report to the nearest court and register his testimony.

The first day of Ramadan is traditionally marked by the sighting of the crescent moon with the naked eye, and is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar.
