Unvaccinated travelers arriving in Saudi Arabia on exit re-entry visas are subject to institutional quarantine: GACA

Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has clarified that unvaccinated travelers who enter Saudi Arabia on exit re-entry visas are subject to institutional quarantine upon their arrival in the kingdom.

The authority stated that those under the age of 18 who accompany a vaccinated resident in the event of non-vaccination must adhere to home quarantine for 7 days in addition to a PCR examination on the sixth day, while those under the age of eight are exempt from the examination.

Additionally, those under the age of 18 who accompany a non-vaccinated resident in the event of non-vaccination are required to adhere to 7-day institutional quarantine, with two PCR examinations to be performed within 24 hours and on the seventh day, while those under eight are excluded from the examination, GACA clarified.

This information is included in the Kingdom’s recently issued procedural guide for the institutional quarantine for those arriving from outside the Kingdom.
