WTI vs Brent — what is the difference?

Brent Crude is extracted from the North Sea and serves as the primary international benchmark for crude oil pricing. It is the reference price most widely used by traders, governments, and refiners in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.

WTI (West Texas Intermediate) is the US domestic benchmark, traded on the NYMEX exchange in New York. It typically trades at a slight discount to Brent. The price difference between the two is known as the Brent–WTI spread.

Prices are updated hourly and SAR values use the fixed peg of 1 USD = 3.75 SAR.
