3 Ways to Take Screenshots in Windows
There are several ways to take a screenshot on your Windows computer, so it is important to choose the right method for your needs. Some methods allow you to capture the entire screen, while others only capture part of the screen. This article will give you three different ways to take screenshots on your Windows 11 computer.
(1) PrtSc
You can make screenshots in Windows 11 by using the Print Screen (PrtSc) button on your keyboard. This captures the entire screen, including multiple displays if you have them, plus all visible windows, the taskbar and Start button, etc. You can then paste the screenshot into any program that supports image pasting.
(2) Win+PrtSc
This method is great if you want to take lots of screenshots. Press and hold the Windows key and then press the Print Screen key on your keyboard. The screenshot will save to your PC in the Pictures > Screenshots folder.
(3) Win+Shift+S (Using Snipping Tool)
These three shortcuts (Win+Shift+S) trigger a snipping tool. You can take screenshots of open windows, rectangular areas or the entire screen. The screenshots can then be annotated using a mouse or similar device.
