Saudi Arabia’s National Program to Combat Commercial Concealment has highlighted the financial rewards available for individuals who report commercial concealment crimes and violations.
Under Article 18 of the Anti-Commercial Concealment Law, eligible whistleblowers may receive a financial reward of up to 30% of the fine collected from the violator.
The reward is available to individuals who are not involved in the offense and who provide information that helps authorities investigate a commercial concealment case.
To qualify, the information submitted must be sufficient for authorities to begin an official investigation.
In addition, a reward is only granted after a final court judgment or a final administrative decision confirms the crime or violation.
Individuals who participated in the violation are not eligible to receive the financial reward.
Commercial concealment refers to situations where a non-Saudi is allowed to conduct business using the name, license, or commercial registration of a Saudi citizen or company, in violation of Saudi regulations.
