Jawazat Explains How Employers Can Issue Final Exit Visas During Probation

Saudi Arabia’s General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) has clarified that employers can issue a Final Exit Visa for workers during their probation period through the Absher Business platform.

The service is available electronically and is designed for employers of commercial-sector workers, allowing them to complete the process online without visiting a Jawazat office.

According to Jawazat, the service enables employers to issue a Final Exit Visa while the worker is still within the probation period.

The visa is issued digitally through the Absher Business platform. Jawazat also explained that the service is provided free of charge as part of the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to simplify government services and expand digital transactions.

However, employers should note that once the Final Exit Visa has been used (executed), it cannot be canceled. In addition, the worker’s Iqama (residency permit) cannot be renewed after the visa has been executed.

The authority said the service supports Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation goals by reducing paperwork, simplifying procedures, and making government services more efficient for businesses.
