Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior has reminded all foreign visitors that remaining in the Kingdom after the expiry of an entry visa is a serious violation that can lead to severe legal penalties.
According to the ministry, expatriates who fail to leave Saudi Arabia before their entry visa expires may face a fine of up to SAR 50,000, imprisonment for up to six months, and deportation.
The ministry urged all visitors to carefully monitor the validity of their entry visas and complete their departure procedures before the visa expires to avoid legal consequences.
Authorities also encouraged the public to report violations related to residency, labor and border security regulations.
Reports can be made by calling 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh and the Eastern Province, while residents in all other regions of the Kingdom can contact 999.
The Ministry of Interior added that all reports will be handled with strict confidentiality and that those reporting violations will not bear any liability.
