India, Bangladesh Among First Six Countries in Saudi Arabia’s New Visa Package

Saudi Arabia has launched a new Visa Package that allows eligible international travelers to obtain a Saudi tourist visa electronically as part of a bundled travel booking.

According to a Saudi Gazette report citing the Ministry of Tourism, the program is initially available to visitors from India, Jordan, Egypt, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Mexico.

Instead of applying for a tourist visa separately, eligible travelers can book an approved travel package that includes their flight, hotel accommodation, and electronic tourist visa in one process.

The electronic tourist visa is issued within 48 hours after the travel package purchase is completed. Travelers do not need to visit a Saudi embassy or submit a separate visa application.

To use the service, travelers must choose an approved package through an authorized travel agency, complete the payment online, and receive their visa, travel insurance, and travel documents by email.

Currently, the Ministry of Tourism has accredited Reserval and Almosafer to provide the Visa Package service.

The visa issued under the program is a single-entry tourist visa valid for three months. It allows visitors to stay in Saudi Arabia for a minimum of two days and a maximum of 88 days.

The ministry said the visa cannot be canceled separately. If the travel package is canceled, the associated visa is automatically revoked.

Each package must include:

  • A confirmed round-trip flight.
  • Accommodation at a Ministry of Tourism-licensed hotel with a minimum four-star rating.
  • The electronic tourist visa application.

The minimum package price is SAR 4,000 per adult for the first two days. Each additional consecutive day costs SAR 1,000.

Travelers can also add optional experiences such as event tickets and leisure activities to their package.

Although the packages do not include Umrah services or other arrangements in Makkah and Madinah, visa holders are permitted to travel throughout Saudi Arabia after arrival, including visiting both holy cities.

If flights or hotel bookings are canceled because of unforeseen circumstances, refunds and booking changes will be handled according to the policies of the authorized travel service provider.

The Ministry of Tourism said the Visa Package program will be expanded to include additional nationalities in future phases.
