Riyadh – The holy month of Ramadan in Saudi Arabia will begin either on Saturday, March 1, 2025, or Sunday, March 2, 2025, depending on the sighting of the Ramadan crescent moon this evening, Friday, February 28, 2025.
The Saudi Supreme Court has urged all Muslims across the Kingdom to look for the Ramadan crescent moon after sunset today. If the moon is sighted, Ramadan 1446 will start tomorrow, Saturday. Otherwise, the month will begin on Sunday.
According to astronomers, there is a high chance of sighting the Ramadan crescent this evening. However, some experts predict cloudy conditions, which may make the sighting difficult.
The Saudi Supreme Court will officially announce the start date of Ramadan 2025 after evaluating reports from various astronomical centers across the country.
