The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, in partnership with the Ministry of Health, has announced the start of a new Saudization program for four health professions in the private sector. The first phase begins on Thursday, April 17, 2025.
Which Jobs Are Affected?
The decision applies to the following health professions, with specific Saudization (localization) targets:
- Radiology – 65% Saudization
- Clinical Nutrition – 80%
- Physiotherapy – 80%
- Medical Laboratories – 70%
Salary Requirements
- Specialists must receive a minimum salary of SAR 7,000
- Technicians must receive at least SAR 5,000
Who Does It Apply To?
In the first phase, the decision affects all private sector establishments with at least one employee in the following major cities:
- Riyadh
- Makkah
- Madinah
- Jeddah
- Dammam
- Khobar
It also applies to large and mega establishments in the rest of the Kingdom.
The second phase will begin on October 17, 2025, and will cover all remaining establishments across Saudi Arabia.

This move is part of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing effort to increase job opportunities for Saudi nationals and localize the healthcare sector. Companies will receive government support for recruitment, training, and employment through various programs, including those from the Human Resources Development Fund (HADAF).
