No More Paper Certificates for Children’s Vaccinations, Digital Only
The Ministry of Health has announced that it will no longer issue paper vaccination certificates for children, switching to digital certificates instead. These can be obtained by applying at the vaccination documentation clinic of the nearest health center or by registering yourself through the ‘Sehhaty’ application.
The Ministry urges parents to promptly convert their children’s paper vaccination certificates to electronic ones to prevent any loss of documentation. This is especially important since completing vaccinations is mandatory for the school fitness examination.
This move is part of the digital health transformation strategy aimed at enhancing health services for citizens. It allows easy access and reference to vaccination records at any time, either through clinic appointments or self-registration via the ‘Sehhaty’ app.
Health centers will continue to accept citizens daily, both in the mornings and evenings, to document children’s vaccinations. The Ministry noted that over 400,000 children have already had their vaccinations documented electronically.
The ‘Sehhaty’ app, launched by the Ministry of Health, provides various health services to individuals in the Kingdom. It allows users to access health information and obtain numerous health services offered by different entities in the health sector.
