What Is the National Address in Saudi Arabia?
The National Address is an official address system in Saudi Arabia that uniquely identifies every residence and building using standardized location details.
It is used for government services, banking, deliveries, residency records, and official communication across the Kingdom.
As per regulations currently in effect from January 1, 2026, receiving parcels in Saudi Arabia requires a registered National Address, according to the Transport General Authority(TGA).
Because of this, all residents, including expatriates, are advised to complete their National Address registration without delay.
How to Register for a National Address Using the SPL App
The registration process is done through the official SPL mobile application and takes only a few minutes.
Step 1: Create an SPL Account
Start by downloading the SPL app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and opening it on your phone.
Change the app language to English for easier understanding, then select Login / Register from the menu.

Tap New Register at the bottom of the login screen to create a new SPL account.
Choose Individual, enter your Iqama number, and select your date of birth using the Gregorian calendar.
Next, enter your personal details such as your mobile number and email address, then continue.
You will be asked to create a username and password, which will be used for future logins to your SPL account.
After signing up, a verification code will be sent to your registered mobile number to complete the account setup.
Once your SPL account is created, log in using your username and password and ensure the language is set to English.
Step 2: Register Your National Address
From the homepage, select the option to register a new National Address.
Allow location access to automatically detect your building, or manually enter your location and building number.
Carefully review the address details and confirm that the location and building information are correct.
You will then need to select your property type as Rented or Owned, and stay type as Permanent or Temporary.
For most expatriates, the correct selection is Rented and Temporary.
Uploading a building photo is optional and not mandatory.
Accept the terms and conditions and proceed to complete the registration.
Enter the final verification code sent to your mobile to finish the process.
After successful registration, a confirmation message will appear stating that your National Address has been registered successfully.
Your full National Address including Short Address will be displayed, which can be used for parcel deliveries and official purposes.
How to Add Dependents to Your National Address
You can also add your dependents by selecting your registered National Address in the app, choosing Add Dependent, and entering the required details such as ID number, date of birth, mobile number, and relationship.
Registering your National Address ensures uninterrupted deliveries, smoother access to services, and compliance with current regulations in Saudi Arabia.
